Southeastern Calhoun County in central South Carolina... Clarendon County in central South Carolina... Southeastern Lee County in central South Carolina... Central Orangeburg County in central South Carolina... Central Sumter County in central South Carolina... * Until 330 PM EDT. * At 1232 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain falling across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Sumter, Orangeburg, Manning, South Sumter, Brookdale, St. Matthews, Holly Hill, Summerton, Bowman, Elloree, Santee State Park, Santee Cooper Regional Airport, Poinsett State Park, Alcolu, Millwood, Mulberry, Claflin College, South Carolina State University, Orangeburg County Airport and Edisto Gardens.
