...LONG DURATION SNOW WITH IMPACTFUL ACCUMULATION EXPECTED ACROSS
SOUTHERN MINNESOTA INTO WESTERN WISCONSIN THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING...
.Light snow will continue spreading eastward over central and
southern MN into western WI this morning, persisting throughout the
day today, with moderate intensity at times. Snow will then gradually
diminish from west to east across MN into WI this evening through
early morning Sunday.
Several inches of accumulation, including over 6 inches of total
accumulation near and south of a line from Redwood Falls to Le Sueur
to Cannon Falls MN, will likely lead to travel impacts through
tonight. The heaviest snow will fall around the Interstate 90
corridor in southern Minnesota, with upwards of 10 inches of total
accumulation through late tonight possible. Lighter amounts are
expected from west central Minnesota through the Twin Cities metro
through Bloomer WI and points northward of that line.
Overall, travelers should use extra caution and allow for extra
travel time, including the possibility of moderate prolonged snowfall
at times, which may lead to hazardous travel conditions.
