URGENT - FIRE WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Cheyenne WY 1253 AM MDT Tue Jun 9 2026 ...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 9 PM MDT WEDNESDAY FOR LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND GUSTY WINDS FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES 430, 431, 432, 433, 434, 435, 436, AND 437... * WIND...West to southwest winds 15 to 35 MPH with gusts up to 50 MPH. * HUMIDITY...8 to 12 percent. Overnight recoveries as low as 35 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Dry lightning will be possible on Tuesday with isolated storms during the afternoon and evening hours. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly.
