Total snow accumulations of 3 to 7 inches, except 1 to 3 inches for the lower elevations of southern Houghton and eastern Gogebic Counties. The greatest amounts will be in the Porcupine Mountains and the higher terrain from Twin Lakes to Delaware. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...Portions of central Upper and western Upper Michigan. * WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT /7 PM CDT/ this evening. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Temperatures falling overnight will cause any wet roads and standing water left from this week's rain and snowmelt to freeze overnight. The Friday morning commute could become very difficult, especially on lesser traveled roads. Snow and patchy blowing snow will make evening travel on Friday difficult as well.
