Flood Advisory National Weather Service Fort Worth TX 850 AM CDT Sat Apr 20 2024 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1045 AM CDT THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of north central Texas, including the following county, Dallas. * WHEN...Until 1045 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor-drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will likely cause urban and small stream flooding. Low lying and/or poor drainage areas will experience minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Dallas, Garland, Irving, Grand Prairie, Mesquite, Carrollton, Richardson, Lewisville, Flower Mound, Rowlett, Desoto, Grapevine, Cedar Hill, Wylie, Coppell, Duncanville, Lancaster, Farmers Branch, Balch Springs and University Park.
