URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Coastal Hazard Message National Weather Service Baltimore MD/Washington DC 1041 PM EDT Wed Apr 24 2024 ...COASTAL FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING... * WHAT...One to two feet of inundation above ground level possible in low lying areas due to tidal flooding. * WHERE...Shoreline in Anne Arundel County. * WHEN...From late Thursday night through Friday morning, especially around the time of high tide. High tide at Annapolis U.S. Naval Academy is at 7:42 AM Friday morning. * IMPACTS...At 3.2 feet, water begins to approach businesses on Dock Street in Annapolis. The City Dock parking lot is flooded. Compromise Street is flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides one to two feet above normal. There is uncertainty in how much water levels increase through Friday. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth.
