Flood Watch National Weather Service Houston/Galveston TX 915 PM CDT Sat May 4 2024 ...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following areas, Austin, Brazos, Burleson, Chambers, Coastal Harris, Colorado, Grimes, Houston, Inland Harris, Madison, Montgomery, Northern Liberty, Polk, San Jacinto, Southern Liberty, Trinity, Walker, Waller and Washington. * WHEN...Through Sunday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff has resulted in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Additional flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. Extensive river flooding is ongoing and additional street flooding remains possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - The next round of heavy rainfall is expected late tonight into Sunday. An additional 1 to 3 inches of rainfall is expected with isolated higher amounts of 4 to 8 inches possible within the watch area.
