Better, More Local Data
Our simple, clean interface shows hyper-local weather conditions from over 27,000 (and counting) weather stations around the world,
not just from airports like many weather apps. These include NOAA weather stations, airports, backyard/private stations, and
road sensor networks.
Our weather forecasts come from from the NDFD (National Digital Forecast Database) at the National Weather Service, which is among the best weather forecast available to the public. Other apps use only computer model output or show the forecast for the closest city which may be many miles away.
Push Weather Alerting
Receive real-time push weather alerts for any location across the US, including all 50 states and Puerto Rico. Our advanced weather alerting system has been in operation for 8 years and provides weather alerting to businesses and individuals across the country. Our system allows you to select only the alerts you wish to receive. Select only tornado warnings, or select custom sets of alerts including severe thunderstorm watches, flood warnings, and tropical alerts. Our push service is faster and avoids the battery drain of other alerting apps that "poll" for alerts.
Beautiful Mobile Maps...
The app includes our exclusive interactive weather map, WeatherNet Live, which includes radar, temperatures, severe alerts, tropical cyclones, and more.
...On Land or Water!
Our Tropical Center shows the latest information on active tropical cyclones. These interactive maps work on both smartphones and tablets. Our website has similar maps for desktop computers.
Meteorologists and weather enthusiasts will enjoy access to technical products like Area Forecast Discussions, Mesoscale Discussions, and Severe Weather Outlooks pushed right to your device. Existing subscribers to our texting service can receive the same alerts through our app, even faster. Premium and Business customers will soon have access to forecast model layers and historical data right on the WeatherNet maps.
