URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Anchorage AK 1125 PM AKDT Wed Apr 7 2021 ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM AKDT THURSDAY FOR BRISTOL BAY... * WHAT...Snow occurring. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches. For interior regions, southeast winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. North winds gusting up to 60 mph along coastal areas near Cape Newenham. * WHERE...Bristol Bay. * WHEN...Until 4 AM AKDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Gusty northerly winds between Cape Constantine and Goodnews Bay may briefly lead to reduced visibilities of one quarter mile at times. Southeasterly winds will lead to one half mile visibilities in the Iliamna area. Conditions will gradually improve through Thursday morning, though periods of reduced visibility will continue through the day in blowing snow. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Slow down and use caution while traveling.
