URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Anchorage AK 541 AM AKST Thu Nov 25 2021 ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM UNTIL 4 PM AKST THIS AFTERNOON FROM CLAM GULCH SOUTH... * WHAT...Blowing snow expected. Visibility will be reduced to one half mile at times. Total snow accumulations 1-3 inches, with locally higher amounts. * WHERE...Western Kenai Peninsula from Clam Gulch south. The worst conditions will likely be near Kachemak Bay up to the Homer Bluffs. * WHEN...Until 4 PM AKST this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions and restricted visibility for holiday travel. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Dry, powdery snow will continue to fall through the day. As winds begin to increase this morning, expect blowing snow to develop and reduce visibility. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Slow down and use caution while traveling.
