URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Fairbanks AK 544 AM AKST Thu Nov 25 2021 ...WIND CHILL ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT AKST TONIGHT... * WHAT...Very cold wind chills expected. The cold wind chills will cause frostbite in as little as 10 minutes to exposed skin. Expect wind chills as cold as 45 below zero. * WHERE...Summits along the Steese Highway, north of Fox. * WHEN...Until midnight tonight. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Blowing snow may cause reduced visibility at times. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Wind Chill Advisory means that cold air and sustained wind speeds of 15 mph or more will create low wind chills. Frost bite and hypothermia can occur if precautions are not taken.
