Special Weather Statement National Weather Service Seattle WA 702 PM PST Sat Nov 27 2021 ...CONTINUED HEAVY RAINFALL THIS WEEKEND WILL LEAD TO AN INCREASED THREAT OF LANDSLIDES IN WESTERN WASHINGTON... Persistent rainfall throughout the month has increased soil moisture to high levels across western Washington. Heavy rainfall of 4 to 6 inches in the mountains and 1 to 2 inches in the lowlands is expected to fall through the weekend. This amount of rain will put extra pressure on soil instability, leading to an increased threat of landslides.
