North Central Garfield County in southern Utah... Southwestern Wayne County in southern Utah... * Until 300 PM MDT. * At 1151 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of normally dry washes, slot canyons and other area waterways. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Capitol Reef National Park, Torrey, Teasdale and Fruita. This includes the following highways... Utah Route 12 between mile markers 104 and 122. Utah Route 24 between mile markers 68 and 95. This includes the following streams and drainages... Spring Creek, Grand Wash, Capitol Gorge, Sulphur Creek to the confluence with the Fremont River, and Sheets Gulch.
