Northwestern Hitchcock County in southwestern Nebraska... * Until 115 PM CDT. * At 807 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain in Water rescues are occurring in the town of Stratton. Between 5 and 10 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for Northwest Hitchcock County, including the town of Stratton including the Republican River.
