Flash Flood Statement National Weather Service Springfield MO 117 AM CDT Sun Sep 24 2023 ...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING FOR NORTHEASTERN BARRY, SOUTHERN CHRISTIAN, STONE AND NORTHERN TANEY COUNTIES... At 117 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Branson, Monett, Forsyth, Merriam Woods, Crane, Reeds Spring, Rockaway Beach, Branson West, Galena, Taneyville, Kissee Mills, Bull Creek, Mccord Bend, Hurley, Spokane, Chestnutridge, Ponce de Leon, Walnut Shade, Cape Fair, Elsey, Garrison, Wheelerville, Jenkins, Bradleyville, Madry, Brownbranch, Pleasant Ridge, Lake Taneycomo, Table Rock Lake and Shepherd of the Hills State Park. This includes the following low water crossings...
