Flood Watch National Weather Service Portland OR 758 AM PST Tue Dec 5 2023 ...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of northwest Oregon, including the following areas, Cascade Foothills in Lane County, Central Coast Range of Western Oregon, Central Oregon Coast, Central Willamette Valley, Coast Range of Northwest Oregon, Greater Portland Metro Area, Lower Columbia, North Oregon Coast, Northern Oregon Cascade Foothills and South Willamette Valley and southwest Washington, including the following areas, Greater Vancouver Area, I-5 Corridor in Cowlitz County, South Washington Cascade Foothills, South Washington Coast and Willapa Hills. * WHEN...Through Wednesday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. Note that flood warnings are already in effect for several coastal rivers in Southwest Washington and Northwest Washington. Flood warnings may be issued for additional rivers Tuesday or Wednesday. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - 2 to 6 inches of rain has fallen in the Willapa Hills, Northwest Oregon Coast Range, and Cascades and foothills in the past 24 hours. An additional 1 to 3 inches is expected for those areas Tuesday.
