URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Charleston SC 940 PM EST Sat Jan 20 2024 ...WIND CHILL ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 10 AM EST SUNDAY... * WHAT...Wind chills ranging from 6 to 15 degrees above zero, with the coldest readings inland. * WHERE...Portions of southeast Georgia and southeast South Carolina. * WHEN...From 1 AM to 10 AM EST Sunday. * IMPACTS...The cold wind chills could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Low temperatures will be as cold as 16 to 25 degrees, coldest inland. Temperatures will also be below freezing for as much as 12-16 hours tonight into Sunday morning. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.
