URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE...UPDATED National Weather Service Jackson KY 356 PM EST Mon Feb 12 2024 ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO 9 AM EST TUESDAY... * WHAT...A brief period of moderate, to at times, heavy wet snow is expected. The snow will peak late tonight and into the pre- dawn hours, before ending before daybreak. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are forecast, with locally up to 3 inches possible. * WHERE...Portions of east central Kentucky. * WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to 9 AM EST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Snowfall overnight could significantly reduce visibilities. Also, plan on slippery road conditions late tonight into early Tuesday morning. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
