URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Baltimore MD/Washington DC 410 AM EST Tue Feb 13 2024 ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches with locally higher amounts around 5 inches possible. * WHERE...Portions of central, north central and northern Maryland, northern and northwest Virginia and eastern West Virginia. * WHEN...Until 1 PM EST this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Rain is expected to change to snow between 5 and 7 AM. Snow could be heavy at times, with rates of around 1/2 to 1 inch per hour through mid-morning. Visibility may be reduced to less than one half mile at times. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Slow down and use caution while traveling.
