URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Albuquerque NM 1215 PM MDT Sun Mar 17 2024 ...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT MDT TONIGHT... * WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations up to 4 to 8 inches, except up to 12 inches in the southern Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Up to 1 to 2 additional inches of snow on Raton Pass, where dense freezing fog is expected. * WHERE...Sangre de Cristo Mountains, and Johnson and Bartlett Mesas Including Raton Pass. * WHEN...Until midnight MDT tonight. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Some roads may be closed. Significant travel delays are possible, including on I-25 through Raton Pass. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The visibility will drop below a half mile at times during periods of heavy snow.
