Flood Watch National Weather Service Raleigh NC 914 PM EDT Wed Mar 27 2024 ...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rain. * WHERE...The northeast Piedmont, Sandhills, and Coastal Plain in central North Carolina, including the following counties: Chatham, Cumberland, Durham, Edgecombe, Franklin, Granville, Halifax, Harnett, Hoke, Johnston, Lee, Moore, Nash, Orange, Person, Richmond, Sampson, Scotland, Vance, Wake, Warren, Wayne and Wilson. * WHEN...Through Thursday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding, especially in urban areas and of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A front will edge east across the eastern Carolinas and offshore through early Thursday.
