Special Weather Statement National Weather Service Marquette MI 516 AM EDT Tue Apr 16 2024 ...ELEVATED WILDFIRE POTENTIAL FOR ALL OF UPPER MICHIGAN THIS AFTERNOON INTO THIS EVENING DUE TO A COMBINATION OF GUSTY WINDS AND VERY DRY CONDITIONS... Gusty easterly winds as high as 20 to 35 mph combined with very dry humidities will lead to elevated wildfire potential across Upper Michigan. Avoid outdoor burning today. Immediately report any wildfires to local emergency services by calling 911. Burn restrictions remain in effect.
