URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Fairbanks AK 333 PM AKDT Wed May 15 2024 ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM AKDT THURSDAY... * WHAT...Snow and blowing snow with low visibility expected. Total snow accumulations 6 to 10 inches. Winds gusting to 55 mph. Visibility one half mile at times. * WHERE...Southern Seward Peninsula Coast and Interior Seward Peninsula. * WHEN...Until 6 AM AKDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility. Large snow drifts will form. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow is starting to taper off, but there will be periods of low visibility in blowing snow through tonight.
