BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED Flash Flood Warning National Weather Service Morristown TN 1056 PM EDT Sun Jul 21 2024 The National Weather Service in Morristown has extended the * Flash Flood Warning for... Central Hamilton County in east Tennessee... * Until 200 AM EDT. * At 1056 PM EDT, local law enforcement and 911 dispatch reported flash flooding across the warned area. Between 2.5 and 6 inches of rain have fallen this evening. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. Flash flooding is already occurring. Runoff is resulting in continued rising water on some creeks. Mountain Creek at the base of Signal Mountain has risen to 6.9 feet as of 10 PM EDT, at 6.5 feet Cross Street is flooded and impassable. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain and thunderstorms. SOURCE...Law enforcement and 911 dispatch reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
