BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED Flash Flood Warning National Weather Service Greenville-Spartanburg SC 137 PM EDT Thu Aug 8 2024 The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has extended the * Flash Flood Warning for... Eastern York County in upstate South Carolina... * Until 500 PM EDT. * At 137 PM EDT, Between 4 and 7 inches of rain have fallen across eastern York County, including the city of Rock Hill. Emergency management reports ongoing flash flooding with numerous roads flooded across the area. Current rainfall rates are 0.5 to 1 inch in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. As excessive runoff continues this afternoon Catawba Tributaries, such as Big Dutchman, Manchester, Tools Fork and Wildcat Creek will continue to flood in spots. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Emergency management reported.
