BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED Flash Flood Warning National Weather Service Greenville-Spartanburg SC 151 PM EDT Thu Aug 8 2024 The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has extended the * Flash Flood Warning for... Gaston County in the piedmont of North Carolina... * Until 500 PM EDT. * At 151 PM EDT, Heavy rainfall has ended across Gaston County but 3-5 inches of storm-total rainfall since earlier today has resulted in numerous streams well above bankfull conditions. The Flash Flood Warning will be extended through 5:30PM to allow streams to crest. The South Fork Catawba River will likely approach Minor Flood Stage later this evening and a Flood Warning may be required for the Lowell to Cramerton area shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Gauges reported.
