URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Flood Watch National Weather Service Charleston SC 942 PM EDT Fri Aug 9 2024 ...FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING... * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of southeast South Carolina, including the following areas, Charleston, Coastal Colleton, Dorchester, Inland Berkeley, Inland Colleton and Tidal Berkeley. * WHEN...Through Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Although little to no additional rainfall will occur tonight and Saturday morning, given excessive rainfall that has fallen this week, there remains a risk for additional flash flooding. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
