Central Fairfield County in southern Connecticut... Central New Haven County in southern Connecticut... * Until 815 PM EDT. * At 609 PM EDT, emergency management reported water rescues and widespread flooding in Oxford, Seymour, and Cheshire. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Emergency management reported.
