Jackson County in western North Carolina... Macon County in western North Carolina... * Until 815 AM EDT. * At 311 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 6 and 9 inches of rain have fallen. Significant flooding appears likely across much of the warned area, with numerous road closures and water rescues likely, damage to even well-built structures, and standing in low-lying areas.
