URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Great Falls MT 203 AM MDT Thu Oct 31 2024 ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 6 AM MDT FRIDAY... * WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 1 and 4 inches, with up to 6 inches over the higher terrain near the West Yellowstone and Lakeview areas. * WHERE...Gallatin and Madison County Mountains and Centennial Mountains. * WHEN...From 3 PM this afternoon to 6 AM MDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Plan for winter driving conditions on mountain passes, especially Raynold's and Targhee passes. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions can be obtained by calling 5 1 1 or visiting the MDT Road Report website. Remember, a Winter Weather Advisory means that there is at least an 80% chance of minor impacts due to winter weather conditions during the advisory period.
