However, lingering snow showers remain in the area for another few hours. For the Winter Storm Warning, heavy snow. Snow accumulations between 8 to 20 inches west of Highway 395. Below 7000 feet, snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches. Expect localized areas of up to 2 feet along the highest peaks. Wind gusts up to 45 mph with ridge gusts as high as 100 mph. * WHERE...Mono County. * WHEN...From 1 AM to 10 PM PST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday and Saturday commutes.
