.Areas of freezing rain, mixed with sleet at times, continue to advance through central Iowa this evening. This will continue through around midnight before becoming predominately freezing rain. One to two tenths of an inch of icing, possibly higher east, are expected by Saturday morning. A wintry mix, including some light snow, is expected over northern Iowa later Saturday, but temperatures should warm sufficiently for a cold rain central and south by the afternoon.

Additional ice accumulations between two tenths and three tenths of an inch. * WHERE...Grundy, Tama, and Black Hawk Counties. * WHEN...Until 3 PM CST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Ice accumulation on power lines and tree limbs may cause scattered power outages. Travel could be very hazardous due to slick roads. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Travel is discouraged. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. Prepare for possible power outages.
