URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Buffalo NY 333 AM EST Fri Jan 3 2025 ...LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM EST SUNDAY... * WHAT...Moderate lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations 8 to 18 inches in the most persistent lake snows, spread out over the next several days. Winds gusting as high as 30 mph today through tonight, and 40 mph Saturday through Saturday night, will produce areas of blowing and drifting snow. * WHERE...Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Southern Erie Counties. * WHEN...Until 6 PM EST Sunday. * IMPACTS...Travel will be difficult at times with snow covered roads. Areas of blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the Friday morning and evening commutes. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
