URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Spokane WA 614 PM PST Fri Jan 24 2025 ...AIR STAGNATION ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM PST MONDAY... * WHAT...Stagnant air conditions will have potential to trap pollutants near the ground. * WHERE...Portions of North Idaho and Central, North Central, and Northeast Washington. * WHEN...Until 4 PM PST Monday. * IMPACTS...Periods of air stagnation can lead to the buildup of pollutants near the surface. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Buildup of fine pollution particles can be harmful to those sensitive to air pollution including people with lung and heart problems, people with diabetes, children and the elderly. If possible, reduce or eliminate activities that contribute to air pollution such as, outdoor burning and use of residential wood burning devices. Reduce vehicle trips and vehicle idling as much as possible. Check with local air management agencies for possible restrictions in your area.
