Flash Flood Statement National Weather Service Honolulu HI 1230 PM HST Thu Jan 30 2025 ...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM HST THIS AFTERNOON FOR THE ISLAND OF OAHU IN HONOLULU COUNTY... At 1230 PM HST, radar and automated rain gauges indicated moderate to heavy showers continuing to move quickly over Oahu from the south at a rate of up to 3 inches per hour. Rapid rises in stream water levels are also occurring across windward Oahu with the highest response occurring in the Waiahole stream which rose above 11 feet. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE...Stream Gauges. IMPACT...Flooding in drainages, streams, rivers, roads, properties, and other low-lying areas. Public road closures possible in some areas. Landslides are possible in steep terrain. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
