BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED Flash Flood Warning...CORRECTED National Weather Service Paducah KY 832 AM CST Sat Feb 15 2025 The National Weather Service in Paducah has extended the * Flash Flood Warning for... Calloway County in western Kentucky... * Until 600 PM CST Saturday. * At 826 AM CST, the public reported heavy rain, causing water over road on Hwy 121 South near New Concord. Between 2 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE...Public reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Murray, Hazel, New Concord, Kirksey and Harris Grove. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
