URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Albany NY 309 PM EST Sun Feb 16 2025 ...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO 7 PM EST MONDAY... * WHAT...West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected. * WHERE...Portions of northwestern Connecticut, eastern New York, and southern Vermont. * WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 7 PM EST Monday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong winds along with the weight of snow and ice on trees will lead to an increased risk of downed trees and power lines, resulting in power outages. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
