URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Duluth MN 238 PM CST Thu Feb 27 2025 ...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO NOON CST FRIDAY... * WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 7 inches. Grand Portage can expect 5 to 9 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph will cause reduced visibility. * WHERE...Northern Lake County and all of Cook County. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Grand Portage Reservation. This also includes the Boundary Waters eastern and central area. * WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to noon CST Friday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning commute. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The greatest snow accumulation will be in northern and eastern Cook County.
