URGENT - FIRE WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Little Rock AR 1035 AM CST Fri Feb 28 2025 ...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CST THIS EVENING FOR VERY DRY AND WINDY CONDITIONS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTH ARKANSAS... The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect until 7 PM CST this evening. * AFFECTED AREA...Portions of north-central Arkansas. * WIND... West-southwest winds between 15 and 25 mph with gusts above 30 mph possible. * HUMIDITY...Between 15 and 20 percent expected. * THUNDERSTORMS...None. * IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now....or will shortly.
