Special Weather Statement National Weather Service Charleston SC 602 AM EDT Wed Mar 26 2025 ...FIRE DANGER STATEMENT IN EFFECT FROM NOON EDT TODAY THROUGH THIS EVENING... The combination of critically dry fuels, relative humidity values as low as 17 to 25 percent and wind gusts as high as 15 to 20 mph, will result in an enhanced fire danger across much of Southeast South Carolina and Southeast Georgia away from the immediate coast this afternoon. This includes the Francis Marion National Forest. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether you can burn. If you do, you are advised to use extreme caution.
