URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Billings MT 1226 AM MDT Thu Apr 17 2025 ...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON MDT FRIDAY... * WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 12 inches, greatest close to the mountains. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...In Montana, Bighorn Canyon and Southern Big Horn. In Wyoming, Sheridan Foothills. * WHEN...Until noon MDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Roads, including Interstate 90, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions will impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Expect most snow to accumulate on grassy surfaces. The highest amounts will fall along and west of I-90, especially in the higher terrain. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
