Snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches above 7000 feet with up to 10 inches along the highest peaks. 1 to 3 inches at lake level. Ridge winds gusts up to 60 mph. * WHERE...Greater Lake Tahoe Area. * WHEN...From 5 PM this afternoon to 11 AM PDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult at times. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday evening commute and weekend travel, especially across Sierra passes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Heaviest snowfall expected Friday night and Saturday morning.
