Flood Statement National Weather Service Baltimore MD/Washington DC 1054 AM EDT Tue May 13 2025 ...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of northern Virginia, including the following counties, City of Fairfax, City of Manassas, City of Manassas Park, Fairfax and Prince William. * WHEN...Until 300 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1051 AM EDT, A stream gauge indicates minor flooding has begun in parts of Fairfax County. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Centreville...
