URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Great Falls MT Issued by National Weather Service Missoula MT 803 PM MDT Tue May 13 2025 ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM MDT WEDNESDAY... * WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches at pass level, with higher amounts above pass level. * WHERE...The Mountains of Southwestern Montana south of Interstate 90. * WHEN...Until 9 AM MDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Higher mountain passes will likely become snow covered and slippery. Those recreating in the backcountry should prepare for winter conditions. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Above 8,000 ft, heavy snow accumulations of up to a foot and above is expected in the Madison and Gallatin County Mountains. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions can be obtained by calling 5 1 1 or visiting the MDT Road Report website.
