URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Coastal Hazard Message National Weather Service Baltimore MD/Washington DC 356 PM EDT Wed May 14 2025 ...COASTAL FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM THURSDAY TO 4 PM EDT FRIDAY... * WHAT...Two to three feet of inundation above ground level expected in low lying areas due to tidal flooding. * WHERE...Shoreline in the District of Columbia. * WHEN...From 7 AM Thursday to 4 PM EDT Friday, especially around the time of high tide. * IMPACTS...Numerous roads may be closed. Low lying property including homes, businesses, and some critical infrastructure will be inundated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides between one half foot and one foot above normal. The next high tide at Washington Channel is at 10:33 PM and 10:24 AM. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. If travel is required, do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth.
