URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Albuquerque NM 127 PM MDT Wed Jun 18 2025 ...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM NOON TO 7 PM MDT THURSDAY... * WHAT...Temperatures up to 101 expected. * WHERE...Middle Rio Grande Valley including the Albuquerque Metro Area, and Northwest Plateau. * WHEN...From noon to 7 PM MDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments.
