URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Great Falls MT 146 PM MDT Fri Jun 20 2025 ...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM SATURDAY TO NOON MDT SUNDAY... * WHAT...Heavy, wet snow. Total snow accumulations up to 6 inches below 6000 feet, with 12 to 18 inches above 6000 feet. Isolated higher amounts. Winds could gust as high as 50 mph. * WHERE...East Glacier Park Region Zone. * WHEN...From 9 AM Saturday to noon MDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Hazardous travel conditions, especially on Going-to-the-Sun Road, Looking Glass Road from East Glacier to Kiowa, and US Hwy 89 over the Hudson Bay Divide. Dangerous backcountry conditions, especially for those hiking in areas of exposure due to icy trail conditions and or those camping in the backcountry. The combination of heavy, wet snow accumulating on trees and powerlines along with the gusty winds may lead to power outages and downed trees. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Rain preceding the change to snow and fluctuating temperatures could lead to rock slides.
