URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Gray ME 337 AM EDT Tue Jun 24 2025 ...EXTREME HEAT WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 107 expected. * WHERE...Portions of south central, southwest, and western Maine and central, northern, and southern New Hampshire. * WHEN...From 11 AM this morning to 8 PM EDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. Stay cool, stay hydrated, stay informed.
