URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Raleigh NC 811 PM EDT Wed Jun 25 2025 ...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 7 PM EDT THURSDAY... ...EXTREME HEAT WARNING HAS EXPIRED... * WHAT...Heat index values up to 106 expected. * WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina. * WHEN...From 11 AM to 7 PM EDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion or heat stroke.
