Special Weather Statement National Weather Service New York NY 617 AM EDT Wed Jul 16 2025 ...PATCHY DENSE FOG INLAND AND ALONG THE SOUTHEAST CONNECTICUT COASTLINE... Patchy dense fog was reducing visibility to less than 1/4 mile in spots, especially in river valleys and near bodies of water. The fog was most widespread across southeast Connecticut. Motorists should be prepared for sudden changes in visibility, use fog lamps or low beam headlights, and allow for extra braking distance in case of a sudden stop. The fog should lift after 8 AM.
